Så var jag äntligen halvvägs genom Sonics lista över de 159 bästa soulalbumen någonsin. Av de 80 album jag lyssnat på är det 49 som jag vill ta med mig till någon sorts sluträkning. Resten kommer jag förmodligen inte att återvända till igen. Ganska fin utdelning ändå.

Sammanslagna listor har ju en tendens att inte passa någon. Att skapa listor själv är hårt och svårt arbete. Att rätta ordningen i någon annans lista är enklare. Vilka skivor som finns att välja på är förutbestämt, bara för mig att ordna dem. Jag slipper till exempel att bestämma mig för vilket av The Supremes eller Georgia Anne Muldrows album jag ska ta med. Skönt!
